명사 Noun	사람, 동물, 사물, 장소 등의 이름 a book / a pen / coffee / Seoul / happiness
대명사 Pronoun	명사(구)를 대신하는 말 I, she, it, they
동사 Verb	사람, 사물의 동작이나 상태를 나타내는 말 (문장의 중심) Ms. Rachel joined our team last year.
형용사 Adjective	사람이나 사물(명사)의 성질이나 상태를 설명 I met a beautiful teacher yesterday.
부사 Adverb	명사 빼고(동사, 형용사, 다른 부사, 문장 전체) 나머지 수식 Rachel really likes her students. She is very kind. You can speak English quite well. Fortunately, I got a job.
전치사 Preposition	명사나 대명사 앞에 위치하는 말로 시갂, 장소, 조건, 수단, 방 향 등을 나타내는 역할 The movie starts at 7 P.M There are many people in the art museum.
접속사 Conjunction	말과 말(단어, 구, 절)을 연결해주는 말 (단어) Cash or card? (구) Is it for here or to go? (절) Here is the receipt, and your coffee will be ready soon.
감탄사 Interjection	기쁨, 슬픔, 놀람 등의 감정을 나타내는 말 Wow, Oh, Oops!

 

구와 절

구: 두 단어 이상이 모여 특정한 의미를 갖고 하나의 품사처럼 쓰일 때

I want to buy a gift for him. (그에게 줄 선물을 사기를) ⇢ 명사구 The new laptop on the desk is mine. (책상위에 있는) ⇢ 형용사구 He gave me a new book on my birthday. (내 생일에) ⇢ 부사구

절: 두 단어 이상이 [주어+동사]를 포함한 채로 문장의 일부가 되는 경우

I think that she is interested in me. (나에게 관심이 있다고) ⇢ 명사절 That is a book that I bought online. (내가 온라인에서 구입한) ⇢ 형용사절 I’ll give her a gift because she gave me chocolate. (그녀가 내게 초콜릿을 주었기 때문에) ⇢ 부사절
